I am really really serious about getting golf knickers. I think they are very cool, and they make a Bold fashion statement. Does anyone else here where them, or interested in buying them. This is a link to a store that sales golf knickers.

As a 10hcp, there's no way in HE(( I would wear them. Once I get to +5, however, I'm all over it. In other words, my game best be doing a lot of talking if I'm gonna make a BOLD statement like that. --LBB

Ive got a pair of knickers. I bought mine from T. Barry Knickers. People give you some pretty weird looks when you show up dressed like that, but its definetly a way to get noticed.

IO got mine from golfknickers.com. Wear them once a year or so as a joke with some buddies. But they are fun to wear.

You can get them at the golf knickers website. I thought it would cool when i play on my schools team to wear them in matches. The other team would be like who the hell is this kid.

I have wanted to have some Knickers for years, but my wife won't let me. She would be way too embarrassed if I were to go out in public like that. Maybe someday though.

You can also sometimes find them at department stores such as Kohl's or JC Penny.

Ive got a Tam O'Shanter cap (thats the correct name for them, BTW) that says, "Dockers" on the back. I bought it at the local Sears.

I have a few pairs nd wear them once every few weeks. Get a SOLID colour knicker and complementary SOLID colour socks (both from golfknickers.com) and you will look classic, not clownish. Once you start messing around with patterns on the knickers (or worse, imho) argyle socks, you start getting laughed at. Wear a nornal shirt and regular golf hat, solid colour sweater vest if it's chilly and you will look contemporary and classy. Again, my opinion.
Swing hard in case you hit it.

I have some, I wear them throughout the season....

On our first round of the season, since where I live the season isn't all year round, it's our way of saying hello to the golf season.

On our last round of the season, to say goodbye to the season.

On a tourney I put on during the spring and to many other scrambles me and my friends enter.

Personally for me even if you choose to go the "clown" route I would rather see that then some of the jeans/sweats and t-shirt/tank-top outfits I have seen.

when I make it on tour...I am going all out. I am going to wear the really baggy solid color knickers, white long sleeve shirt that buttons up the front, and a neck tie tucked inside of the shirt between the buttons halfway down, and of course, the flat cap.

Also, when I take off my cap to shake the hand of the man I just destroyed by 10 shots, you will find my hair parted straight down the center and greased all the way to my scalp.

Maybe suspenders on Sundays?

    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
