Thank you for contacting us. Due to not acquiring satellites, your SG3/ SG4 may benefit from a GPS firmware reset. Please follow the instructions below to reset the GPS firmware on your device. Make sure that you are in a wide open area free of tall buildings and trees (a driving range is the ideal area). The antenna must have an unobstructed view of the sky.

GPS RESET INSTRUCTIONS: (SG3 and SG4)
The issue: No Satellite Acquisition / Inaccurate Yardages
Please make sure that you are in a wide open area free of tall buildings and trees. (A Driving range is the ideal area) The antenna must have an unobstructed view of the horizons and about 20 feet away from any building and be as still as possible during this process. .
In order to access the GPS Signal menu screen please follow the steps below:
1. Turn on the SkyCaddie and open any course from the "SkyCourse List" for play.
2. Press the Menu button on the lower left hand side to place the unit in Menu options. (SkyCourse List is the first option)
3. Using the direction button scroll through the Menu options to the Advanced Menu option.
4. Press "Select" to use the Advanced Menu options.
5. Now the unit is in the Advanced Menu mode.
6. Using the directional button scroll through the Advanced Menu options to "GPS" and press "Select".
7. Under the "GPS" menu option select the "Reset" menu option.
8. Turn on the SkyCaddie and open any course from the "SkyCourse List" for play.
9. Press the Menu button on the lower left hand side to place the unit in Menu options.(Sky Course List is the first option)
10. Using the direction button scroll through the Menu options to the Advanced Menu option.
11. Press "Select" to use the Advanced Menu options.
12. Now the unit is in the Advanced Menu mode.
13. Using the directional button scroll through the Advanced Menu options to "Diagnostics" and then press "Select".
14. Under the "Diagnostics" menu option select the "Satellite Info" menu option.
15. Leave device outside for 10 to 15 minutes at between 45 and 50 degree angle of elevation (It would appear as 10:30 or 10:45 on a time clock). (p.s., from the time that you see “w/SBAS” on your screen, leave it in the same position for another 5 minutes).
16. After 5 minutes are up, turn off the SkyCaddie and leave it off for 20 seconds then turn it back on. Click on “Start”, then click on “Next” and leave it
on the screen with the picture of the Earth until it chooses your course.
***17. Before you start playing, pause on the screen with the picture of the Earth and hold your device at a 45 to 50 degree angle of elevation until your device automatically chooses the course that’s geographically closest to you. (You should never have to choose your own course as your device is designed to pick it for you. Choosing your own course is guaranteeing that you haven’t allowed your device to re-sync with the GPS network before you go to the tee).
