I want to get a new hybrid, and I know it is all personal preference when it comes to getting a new club
(So please don't say anything about personal preference)
I would just like to know the Pro's and Con's you have with your hybrid, and what brand/type it is.

I was on staff with Nickent and Adams. I refuse to be a homer when it comes to products, but I would take these two over any other club. The new PRO hybrid from Adams is amazing, but I only really recommend those to lower handicaps. I think the Nickents all around are good for all handicaps. I use the original one, 3dx, I have not switched to the 4dx.

Depends on what you want out of it. Shot shaping or forgiveness?

I got 2 Titleist 503Hs (19* and 22*) and I love 'em. I used to be big on long irons, but all it took was 1 afternoon at the driving range to make me a believer in hybrids.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

I don't want reccomendations. I want the good parts and bad parts. Say, "It is a good shot shaper, but not much forgiveness." Or "It has alot of forgiveness, but its not for shot shaping."

I've got an Adams A3 Boxer 3 hybrid and love it. Great forgiveness which is good for players like me(higher handicap). Can't say much about shot shaping as i usually just try to hit it straight.

In the bag:

15* FT 3Wood
19* a3-Boxer 3-Hybrid
mp30 4-PW 55.12 SW Newport 2 Studio Stainlessor G5i AnserLooking for another wedge.

Ooooook...

I will give you your list kind sir: TM- Few different models. STAY AWAY from TP's if you want forgiveness. Draws are only a posative for the slicers, however very forgiving. Rescue is the best of both worlds. Titleist- Made for the better ball stricker. Meant for shot shaping abilities. Not the most forgiving on the market. Adams- A3's are very forgiving. Meant for straight and distance. PRO line is for better player seeking shot shaping ability. Callaway- Fusions and X's are made for distance and forgiveness (surprise coming from Callaway) Fusions cost a hell of a lot more and you get a product that tends to break (carbon pieces break with higher swing speeds) Ping- G10. Great clubs for distance and forgiveness. Meant to go straight... Nothing else to say really. New Orange color. That might make you happy! I prefer the old blue myself of the G2 and G5. Cobra- Pro is very playable for 5-10 handicaps. Forgiving DWS's however are probably one of my favorite on the market. Cost is only 150, compared to most being in the 180-200 range. Go with Adams or Cobra if you ask me. But you dont want my recommendation, so there are your details of each.

I used the Taylormade Rescue Mid till about a month ago. I feel that I can hit a 3 iron now with confidence after purchasing my new swing improvement irons. The irons helped me to figure out what was wrong with my swing. I really do miss the extra distance that I had with the 3 Hybrid. I hit it about 235-240 dead straight where I now hit my 3 iron about 205-210. But I still do hit it straight. I had the hybrids in a steel shaft and I really liked them.

Heck ya! Mid's are the #1 selling hybrid of all time. (Total Sales) You can still find them on sale for $69.99 in places brand new. Great starter hybird. My father still has his 3 in his bag. He wont get rid of them anytime soon.

I've got both actually

. That's why from time to time I change my WITB. My original set is with MacGregor, but I've also got Titleist stuff because the course I work at has a Titleist fitting centre and I get stuff from them for free. I've got a contract with them as well. The coach I work with at the club has two sets of clubs too ...so it's all good .

Isn't being on staff with two companies at the same time great!!!

Was with Srixon and Callaway and then Adams and Srixon. LOVED IT!

I've got two, both of which are Nike (how could you forget nike on the poll? ?). The first is a CPR 4h and was the first one I got. It's my club off of the tee, up until recently when I purchased a SUMO 2 3h. It's incredibly long and straight and can be hit from the tee and the fairway. The price was right also on the SUMO- it was only $120 brand new at my sports authority. If you want forgiving I would definitely check out the SUMO 2.

I didn't like the taylormade r7 draw or the burner- I just couldn't make consistent contact with either and the burner's ball flight was for some reason way to low for me.

The new cleveland one is pretty decent, but wasn't my favorite. I couldn't stand the look at address of it- and I've used some "untraditional" stuff (check out the sabertooth in my sig). It was pretty straight, but I just felt a lot more comfortable with the nike.

Hated the Burner rescue
Adams Pro Tour was nice.
Cally FT is really cool, but think my Titleist 585h is my new fav, likel gonna try to swap the FT for another 585. JUst feels so solid and easily workable.

    • 39/39/78 for an 8.7 differential. Ball striking was good. Putting and chipping was off just enough to prevent a very good score.
    • Worst thing on Sunday was that NBC and Peacock wouldn't let me FF through the commercials on my DVR recording. Very boring when a guy has a huge lead on the final round and everyone else is playing for 2nd place. At least it was USA 1-2-3 in the end.
    • First day of a trip to Bandon Dunes. We played Sheep Ranch today. A Coore/Crenshaw designed course. A par 34 on the front and 38 on the back. With 8 holes with either a green, tee box, or the hole runs along the edge of the bluffs at the pacific. It has amazing vistas. With wide fairways and intermixed gorse bushes. The defense of the course are its large, undulated greens and the daily winds from the north. Many times you need to take 3-4 clubs more, if you even barely cross the wind, your ball can be taken offline or come up half to a full club short. A fantastic layout.    here are some photos.
    • At Sheep’s Ranch, Bandon Dunes. Shot an 84. That wind was nasty going from like hole 7 forward. It was like a 3-4 club wind if in the face. Greens are tricky with the natural grass.
    • Yes. The full swing is not that different, and speed is important with all of them. You don't see Tour players hitting their driver 310 and then hitting their 7I 160. Of course, but they're nothing like those for the full swing.
