My dad was looking for golf balls and he found this OOLLLLDDDD looking ball. It says "Titleist" in the usual cursive writing, but it's red. On the side it says "Acushnet DT" in OLD looking font.

Any idea on what year this is from? Can't find it anywhere.

The Acushnet DT ball first came out in 1974. It was the first surlyn golf ball. Here's a sleeve if you want to buy more:

  Oh, @ConorHealy, maybe you don't know our history, I went with him to Scotland a couple years ago, and was invited on this trip as well. Sadly, I couldn't fit it into my budget this year, but I know he likes to travel.

  I know this is somewhat back from the dead, but I think it's a good thread and it seems like the right place to post this. I saw a video on youtube today of James Nicholas working on his putting with Darrell Kestner. Video here: At 13:31 he produces a heavy weight ball and says "if your follow through is too long you'll double hit it". It seems to me like a pretty good way to train out the instinct to reaccelerate the putter after impact, but my google fu seems to be weak today. Does anyone know where to get one?

  @jsgolfer won't be driving, he'll be riding in comfort in a cushy bus. But I agree, looks like two bases with minimal long drives to each course.
