I hear Nike is coming with some new Pro Combo Tours, some forged CB/MB for next season. I have always liked the Pro Combo Tours, might have to look into them next year.

Already bought them and they are in the bag now. Mizuno MP-57 all the way! 3* upright with Winn Xi7 grips with 2 extra wraps and Dynamic Gold S300 shafts. These irons have helped my game so much. Maybe next set will be the MP-67's, but that will be several years.

I just bought a set of MP-32's, and I love them. So my next set would probably be MP-32 or the MP-57, or maybe those crazy MP-100!

More realistically speaking, I'd buy Wilson Staff's. Unrealistically speaking, if I were to have around $700, I'd get the Cleveland CG Golds.

If I had the cash I would buy the adams idea pro golds. forged players cavity backs with the hybrids, you cant go wrong. But I will be sticking with my tommy armours for a few more seasons.

None - I love my MP-57's. But if I had to choose another iron I'd love to try, the Nike blades (the ones Tiger uses, A. Kim, etc.) even though I've never really liked any Nike clubs I've tried, the overall appearence of them is very nice!

I'm hoping to purchase some new clubs at the end of the season. I think I'm going to go with Callaway X-18's or X-20's depending on which ones I can find and the price on them. I like the look of them. I might even pick up a Heavenwood hybrid if I can find a good deal on one of those too.

Titleist AP1s - which I may end up buying, but right now my plan is to hold onto my current irons for awhile longer while I replace everything except the hybrids in my bag.

Bridgestone J36s. Probably a combo set of some kind with the majority being blades and the long irons most likely being the CBs (not the pocket cavity model, unless I want to hit hooks all day.)

Those would be the same ones I'd opt for if I were going out today and replacing my irons.....something that isn't in the cards for right now.

    • I think part of it is there hasn't been enough conclusive studies specific to golf regarding block studies. Maybe the full swing, you can't study it because it is too complicated and to some degree it will fall into variable or random.
    • Going one step stiffer in the golf shaft, of the same make and model will have minor impact on the launch conditions. It can matter, it is a way to dial in some launch conditions if you are a few hundred RPM off or the angle isn't there. Same with moving weights around. A clubhead weights 200-220 grams. You are shifting a fraction of that to move the CG slightly. It can matter, again its more about fine tuning. As for grip size, this is more personal preference. Grip size doesn't have any impact on the swing out of personal preference.  You are going to spend hundreds of dollars for fine tuning. Which if you want, go for it. I am not sure what your level of play is, or what your goals in golf are.  In the end, the golf swing matters more than the equipment. If you want to go to that level of detail, go find a good golf club fitter. ChatGPT is going to surface scan reddit, golfwrx, and other popular websites for the answers. Basically, it is all opinionated gibberish at this point.

    • Well the first advice I would give is to look at your swing. If you are swing out to in, it may be difficult to fix your misses with club adjustments. They would only be a bandaid. I use midsize grips because I have long fingers and I feel I have more control with them. I also have tinkered with shaft length and swing weight. But I know when I miss it’s because my swing was off.
