I just got this club 2h 18 degree for 29 bucks at golf galaxy. I've never owned a hybrid, but my long irons haven't been working for me these past couple rounds so I gave into the hybrid hype. So I took it to my morning round at my country club....

Oh...my...god....Where has this been all my life? I can just throw out my 5 wood (took it out of my bag last week anyways) and 3 iron. I used it at least 6 times and every time was 215+ and completely straight. I'm in love

Has anyone else recently switched from long irons to hybrids or at least purchased a hybrid for the first time recently. It took me a while to give in, but my long irons really have been mean to me lately.

yeah i have this hybrid too. It is just awesome. Glad to hear someone besides me loves this club. Favorite club in my bag, by far.

actually, my scotty hasn't arrived yet, its on order. But right now it is def. my favorite. I use mine off the tee, off the fairway, from the rough, when i need to hit a low fade, punch out, and sometimes chipping from the fringe :). Glad to see u like urs.

I have two Nike CPR hybrids, and like you use them whenever I can. It's gotten to the point I haven't used my 3-wood in a month, and will only use it if I'm WAY out or my driver goes to hell.

      New Maxfli Forged Irons - $800!

      Has anyone played the new Maxfli forged irons? For the first time in I don't know how many years, they have come out with new clubs. From what I read, Maxfli was bought by Taylor Made a long time ago which then took all of their ball making technology and patents in order to get into that market. The club business was left to whither and the reorganized company, now a part of Dicks / Golfworks / Maltby, is producing these new clubs. (Their Tour X balls which I play are really good.) Anyway, I tried them both out at Golf Galaxy. There's a player's distance iron (XC-3) and a blade (XC-2) and both feel really, really nice, almost "Mizuno-like" in their soft buttery feel and they're a bargain at $800 for a set. I'm planning to ditch my Titleist's and want to go back to a forged iron. I almost pulled the trigger on the Mizuno Pro-245's last summer, but a damaged tendon sheath in my finger combined with a back injury messed up my golf game so I held off. Now the Pro-245's are no longer available, soon to be replaced by the MX-15. (At twice the price of the Maxfli's...that's what got my attention in the first place.) If anyone has played with the new Maxfli's or just tried them out like I did, let me know what you think.

      Day 126 12-16 Back swing and rotation work today. Didn't hit any balls. Focusing on rotating and getting to lead side.
