I'm probably going to buy a new driver for golf season. Wanting to keep it under $500, I've seen this for 420, I don't know what it's at now. Can people who've played it or heard things about it discuss that here. Is it worth it? Who would it benefit, who would it be a waste of cash for? How does it compare to the tour burner and super quad? Do the adjustable weight shifts work well? Thanks guys!

In the bag:
Driver: r7 quad v2 stiff
3-Wood: XLS
Hybrid: X
Irons: CG Golds 3-GWSW: x forged 56/13LW: Vokey sm 60/.08Putter: Callie 35''Ball: pro v1

I demoed this driver last week for the second time and I absolutely love it! At the same time I hit my own driver, a Tour Burner TP, and the MX-560. I didn't like the sound of the MX-560 (kinda like the Sumo). The tour Burner TP was nice but I couldn't justify the $600 price tag. Also, it was not as long or as accurate as the MP-600. The MP-600 was the most accurate driver that I have ever hit. I was no more than 10 yards off line with it. I was pounding nice long draws with this club. I normally hit the ball 270 or so. I was hitting the MP-600 about 285 or more, with a couple over 300. This was with the weights in the neutral position. I wanted to bring my ball flight down and moving the weights was perfect for it as I brought my ball flight down 1.5*. I really want to get this club. The price at Edwin Watts was $399

If you have a consistent swing then you can benefit from the adjustable weights. This club is not the most forgiving, or the longest, but it is a rock solid performer. If you want forgiveness then you may want to try the MX-560.

    • Day 39: did top golf for an hour with the family. It was fun but also not really like real golf at all. Also did some mirror work - working on the backswing stuff mostly.
    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
