I already know what's causing it.
Before I learned how to draw the ball this year, my preferred shot was a baby fade....setup a little open...neutral club face...and I'd be fine..from the driver down to the wedges, I was on point with this shot.

Ever since I learned how to draw, I've started to become UNPREDICTABLE. I'm setting up to play straight...and the club just DOESN'T feel comfortable in my hands. For some reason I just automatically close the club face 2 degrees. if it's not closed, and I try to swing with a neutral club face or even try to play a fade..I CAN'T anymore. The right hand doesn't feel comfortable in the back swing anymore...and I'll either hit it and hook hard or hit it and it's not a hook but it's a draw that I just don't even know where the ball's gonna end up anymore.

It's seriously PI**ING me off that I can't get this out of my head.
2 weeks ago I was playing the best golf of my life...now i'm all over the place and I can't stop it!

Any tips?

I have the EXACT same problem you do now...and I mean exact. My problem stems more from my stance than anything. I didn't notice, but I was having the tendency to aim right...but thinking I was aligned with my target. I have since aimed more left(straight in reality), and it has straightened out my shots more. I still have the tendency to close the club face and aim right which gets me all over the place. I find it very difficult to leave the clubface square or even a bit open at address, because of the feel in my hands.

I get this when I grip the club too tightly in the downswing. I have to constantly remind myself to grip lightly. I'll often just hold on with my left pinky and ring finger (that's the feel, anyway). The rest of my finger on both hands are just along for the ride.

I would check your stance and where you are lining up. I was playing with a friend last week who usually hits the ball pretty straight. He kept hitting driver way to the right. I usually don't like to give tips on the course, but I noticed that his stance was too open. When he looked at how he was aiming and then closed his stance a bit he started hitting straight. It may be something as simple as that. So that is my suggestion, line up on the tee and place the club at your feet to see where they are aimed. If that's not the problem, at least you've eliminated on possibility.

I think a lot of times as golfers we get lazy when we are playing well and don't pay attention to small details. I'll sometimes think all I have to do is grab the club and swing, the ball will do what I want. When things go bad, it is usually nothing more than a simple fundamental.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I had the same problem a few months back. My alignment was fine but the golf pro at my home course told me I wasn't firing my hips through in the shot. My hips would stop rotating on the downswing once they were back near the adress position. My arms would then come through seemingly ahead of my hips, my hands automatically roll over too much and Hello, pull-hook! Concentrate on getting your hips through the zone a little faster and you'll notice the hook will turn into a slight draw. Fire your hips through even faster and you'll notice a slight fade....etc.

One of 3 things I can think of....

1) Timing issue, maybe something is out of sequence.
2) Setup, this happens to me all the time, its usuall ball position. I starts to creep too far back in my stance and so I trap it too much or I have to flip at it to square the face up, which usually leads to over flipping and a closed face.
3) Too much wrist action. This is kind of a result of the first two possible causes. Sometimes I have too much wrist cup in my right hand instead of rotation. Sometimes it's a timing thing, sometimes it's because I have to flip at the ball.

    • As a supporter of the European team even though I chose to live in the US, this is kind of good news. I'm pretty close to Bethpage, but won't be going at these prices. Neither will the crazy drunk NY sports fans who would have made this a very difficult place to play as a Euro. The tickets will go to the city types who are entertaining clients and don't care about the money. Many of them are going to sit there and watch, not get all raucous. I am not dumb enough to believe that this is going to be like a Sunday afternoon stroll in the park for the Euros, but I think it will be significantly more subdued as a result of the prices. Even at $250 I would probably have been watching on the TV anyway so no real skin in the game.
    • First, it is on free TV. NBC is free to anyone with an antenna, and is on almost any TV in the U.S. with a minimal amount of effort. Charging "a bargain price" would be incredibly dumb. They charged $750 and the event sold out almost immediately. You could better argue they should have charged MORE, not less. What happens if you charge less: ticket scalpers buy up even more of the tickets because they see value: if tickets were $250, they'd clearly have sold for $1k or more on the secondary market. That's tremendous value. Fans would end up paying the same or more, or just not being able to go. Sure, a few who happened to be online at the precise moment on a fast connection and didn't fumble with their credit cards might have gotten tickets for $250, but the secondary market and ticket brokers would have scooped up the vast majority with automated processes and bots and scripts, then re-sold them later on. This way, fans get to purchase the tickets, and the PGA is earning that revenue, not the secondary ticket brokers. Econ 101. Supply and Demand. Nope.
    • Tiger Woods on Ryder Cup pay: 'I hope they would get $5 million each and donate it all to charity' Edit - the link has no title, but basically Tiger wants $5 million for each US player to “donate to charity”   They could put the Ryder Cup on free to air tv, and charge the fans a bargain price to get in.  If you have to  give the players $60 million, that’s why the tickets are $750.
