i got a scotty cameron newsletter email today and was looking at the head covers and i have become very fond of the 2008 augusta and the 2008 hula girl..... but at around $100-$150 for a headcover i dont think its worth it...... but i want one so bad..... what do you guys think, is it worth it

I couldn't see it....but then again I have too many other golf related purchases that I could go with first.

If I had the bases covered and my wants taken care of.....then maybe.....who knows???? I'd be scared that I loose the thing, though....ouch that would hurt.

Whats scary is that there are people who dozens of those headcovers that just sit on a shelf in their house. Appartently there are people who just like to collect them.
Obviously some people have more disposable income than I do.

I think $45 for a Scotty Headcover is ridiculous.

He is not that special for me to want to pay $150 for it unless it were signed by Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus or Arnold Palmer.

Im not paying that much even if all three of them signed.

Yea scotty cameron headcovers are expensive. I bought my scotty headcover for about $350 because it was FOR TOUR USE ONLY Headcover and was signed by Mr Scotty himself.

      I hope you don't mind me raising this one from the dead. I got shortgamechef's video access thing for a few months in 2024. I watched his yip fix videos (the general gist is similar to the first video above, but with a lot more detail) and it made a lot of sense. I was working on it in my backyard off a mat for a while and my yippy thing was mostly gone. Aside from anything else, the flop shot using that technique is so easy and controllable. But I got onto a golf course for the first time of the year and found myself by the green on a downslope with the ball sitting down a little in the rough and I was, not to put too fine a point on it, f***ed. Shallow is all well and good from a good flat lie and I understand it, but you can't make that your be all and end all. I still don't know if it's a good idea to use steep all the time or just when you need to. I have a hard enough time with one technique, let alone too.  Just got a pitching skillest lesson with Erik and unless I misunderstood things some, he wants me a bit steeper. @iacas - where do you fall on the steep vs shallow argument and how do you vary it according to need?
