Do you play any games on the course while playing to make things a lil more interesting? if you have any share!

heres the one i learned the other day!

My friends mom showed me this neat game the other day and its a good way to play for money too, and it def helps you not mess up

basically you take poker chips and write on the chips anything you can think of thats bad i have

trees
out of bounds
cart path
water
swing and miss whiff the ball
3 putt
4 putt
Bunker
failure to get ball out of bunker
go from one bunker to another

basically make each token a dollar or coin amount 25 cents 1.00 5.00 each
reccomend making them all the same amount to clear any confusion

when you do any of these things you get a token but if someone else does it rite behind you you give the token to them so youre not stuck with the same token all game, they can chang hands many times if you mess up, Whoever has the least amount of tokens wins and everyone else has to pay up depending on how many tokens if they have 2 tokens and you made them 5.00 each you won 10.00

def makes you try harder

Im thinking about making a rule that if you get an eagle or a chip in you clear all your tokens, pretty fun try it sometime if anyone can think of any other things i could add to the tokens let me know

Your game sounds awsome!! Ima have to try it sometime definatley, and as for the rule your thinking of putting in that sounds like a good idea. Or if you birdie u can take away a token or something as well. By the sounds of things i guess you can use any kind of chips or markers.. etc.

I've played little mini games on the course, such as closest to pin on the par 3's, and when one person has a long or very difficult putt they call it a $5 putt or $10 etc. and if the other person excepts its just a simple chance to win some money more or less lol. Though i have attempted battle golf once before, didn't go over so well lol... Dent's was and still is a better golfer than me. I don't know if he'll remember it himself it was at are old CC.

That game sounds pretty fun to me! i will have to give it a shot. We play some pretty standard games: match play for money, wolf, 5/5/5 (best score per side and total gets $5), KP's, LD's. the poker chip this sounds great!

I cant get over this token game...im doing it! i though of some other tokens to throw in:

1) The "D.O." drive where one fails to drive the ball past the ladies tees (men only token i suppose)
2) Failure to convert a drive in the fairway where you are left with a shot <= 150yds to the green to a par

yea its def a fun game to play yea i like the birdie idea take away 1 chip or something then the others could clear it,

im just trying to think of more to increase the chances that a token could be given out i played the other day and the only token given out was 3 putt lol

if you make the tokens a decent dollar amount it makes you think twice about that putting line your about to commit to lol

maybe i could make a triple bogey chip, hmm worm burner lol if you guys call it that just shoots straight across the ground, maybe could do one where whoever has the shortest drive out of a group gets one, ooo lost ball, your ball could go out of bounds in trees but you can still find it, but if you lose it and give up you can potentially get 3 chips at once trees out of bounds and lost ball

if you wanna play real tough, if you hit it in the water and you dont get it out you get a lost ball token too lol, all this talk bout this game makes me actually anna go play it

i dont know about the lost ball chip, but i would throw one in there for any penalty strokes you have to take. E.G. > if you declare an unplayable lie and take a penalty stroke, you get the penalty token. You would only count this token, if no other tokens were given out to the player E.G. > player hits out of bounds, only gets the OB chip, not the penalty chip.

I would be bad at this game... cuz I would keep hitting it in the drink

Things I Am Good at in Golf

- Hitting it in the drink
- Finding the rough with my drive
- Staying in the bunker- Hitting grassburners all the way to the hole- Three putting- Posting over par on 18 in only 9 holes- Swinging and missing with an iron

If I'm with my friends and we're just playing a casual came of stroke playing, just having fun, we'll just pop up and say "Closest to the pin for 2 bucks," or "Longest Drive for a dollar."

Just cheap games to make it fun.

I'd like to see some "positive" chips too: birdie (or better), 1-putt, sand save, etc.

yea talked bout doing positive ones, like birdie take away 1 chip eagle or chip in take away all chips, i dunno about sand save cause the bunker chip would be pretty much useless then i think, you get it, then give it rite back once you hit it up

One that me and my friends play on the course is real fun.

You earn points for whatever place your score earned on the hole.

1st: 3 points
2nd: 2 points
3rd: 1 point
4th (if applicable): None

At the end of the round, you subtract the 1st place total from the 2nd place total, then 1st from 3rd, etc. However many points you are behind first is how much you owe him/her.

We usually play a dollar a point, but we have played as high as 3 dollars a point and as low as 25 cents.

In my most recent game we had a tie for first with 38 points. The second place guy had 32, so he owed us each $3 (we were playing 50 cents a point). The fourth place guy owed each of us $5 (28 points). It pays to play well, but we spent it on dinner anyway.

This game is great because you can play for quarters and not break the wallet, but if you are playing for $3, you can still a big amount of money for you gambling folk.

If it's only three of us we'll play a game of 9's.

If all three tie, we all get 3 pts
Two tie they get 4pts each and the last person gets 1 pt
One person wins they get 5 pts while the other two get 2 pts each if the tie each other
And if all people have different scores then it's 5 pts for the winner, 3 for second and 1 pt for the person in last

Add up the points at the end of the round and pay out. Usually $0.10 a point.

EDIT: It's similar to what Young Golf Prodigy plays.

When we wait on a tee box, sometimes we'll play a game like cricket with drivers. You start even with one of the blocks for the tee box and hit your ball off the ground into the opposite block. Once you tag it, you have to go back to the other block. Usually we play two turns (down, back, down again.) If you hit another player's ball, you can hit again. Winner has to hit first on the next round.

It's entertaining because its so easy to catch up in the game, and sometimes people get stuck with ridiculous lies because it's a tee box. You can usually play a round or two on the tee box before the group on the fairway moves on.

I threw my clubs into the lake so it's time to start over...

so all this talk of this game made me want to go out and play this game so i got my brother and we went out and luckily for me he sucked haha

we played 2.00 a token

first hold he hit it out of bounds, then he hit a tree, then he 3 putt, followed by a 4 putt, then he hit it in the bunker then he failed to hit it out of the bunker, on the back he hit his ball in the water, and finally he hit one went straight up in the air came down on the cart path

so that was 8 tokens he got haha i gave him an iou for 16$ MUAHAHAHA

we play a similar game called "Poison". Same idea. you all put your golf ball down next to one tee block, then the first player hits, and if he hits the other tee block, he gets to hit again. once he hits the second tee block (the one you started from) his ball is poison. you then try to hit the other players golf balls and if you hit them while you are poison, then they are out. last player with ball still alive wins! fyi...multiple people can be the poison ball. you only go out if you get hit by a poison ball, but if somebody hits you that isnt poison, nothing happens.

I play poison with friends all the time on the teebox. You have to hit the tee markers with a chip like shot with your Driver. It's pretty fun lol.
