isn't that kind of an oxymoron? just kidding! no, I have had the pleasure of holding a tour authentic putter in my hands and they are pretty nice but are obviously on the high end coming in at 349.99 http://www.golfio.com/golf-equipment...tter/50145.htm

I feel the same way about the SC putters...lol.

But back on topic. I am an insert guy and just love both the white hot I play and most of the white hot series.

I really enjoy my sabertooth/35". It has a great feel and has helped me take 2-3 points off my handicap.

PS... Great grip too.

I thought that the Two Ball SRT steel was a great putter... they are real cheap now as well

What I Play:

Driver: Sasquatch SUMO² 9.5º Stiff
Hybrid: HiBore 16º (3W replacement)
Irons: Staff Ci6 3-PW StiffWedges: Vokey Spin Milled 54.10 60.04Putter: Newport Studio Style 35"Ball: Pro V1xAge: 15

Ive got the black series I and I love it. Cant compare it to other Odyssey's though as I had a Rossa before. Its nice and heavy and has helped me shave off some putts per round.

The Sabertooth feels best to me. I gotta get one of those.

Carl Spackler: This is a hybrid. This is a cross of Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff...

When I putt with a mallet...I like the 'Rossie'. Nice and simple face balanced putter that is easy to align (I'm not into exotic complex putters that have fangs)

I am sure Paddy will vote for the two-ball putter.

The Sabertooth. I do love the insert in my White Steel #1, though.

Wedges: Acer XK Tour 56*10 Precision Stiff Shaft, Revolution 60*10 True Temper Wedgeflex

White hot 2 ball blade, it seems to have a knack for winning majors ;) I've yet to try the sabertooth, I'm scared I'll buy one if I do.

For me, I've tried most of the putters and hands down I thought the best was the XG 2-ball center shaft. Gave me the easy straight back straight through stroke I wanted.

The best odyssey putter is the one that won two British Opens back to back and won two major this year!

I prefer the models with the steel inserted face.

I wish I could go back in time and get my hands on my second Odyssey....one of the Rossie black inserted models. That mallet was joy to putt with.

I guess that is one reason why I'm in lust with a SC Red X3.

    • I had another interesting ruling last week, in a pro "junior/senior fourball" event.  Near one of the greens was a drain, with the actual grate set maybe 3 or 4 inches below the ground surface.  It wasn't in a depressed area, basically just a straight-sided hole, with the surrounding ground pretty level.  A Player's ball was in some longer grass adjacent to the grate, maybe even overhanging a bit, to the "side" of the drain, so the path of his swing was "tangent" to the circular grate.  The ball was at ground level, so 3 or 4 inches above the metal grate itself.   As I saw it, there was no way at all that the actual Obstruction would impact any reasonable swing path, so I denied relief.  I did talk it over with another official, who said he would probably have allowed the relief, but agreed that it was a borderline call.
    • Here is where we're at so far.  (3) more spots left for Saturday, and (2) Sunday.  Again, if there are more folks interested in both days, we'll give preference to them.
