I purchased AP1's as an upgrade and just played my first round with them. Here are my thoughts:

The heads are much smaller then my old set and for me I really like them at address. I feel much more comfortable with the noticable difference in offset. AP1's are only very slightly offset. The biggest difference was the weight of the clubs compared to my TM RAC HT with stiff graphite shafts.

The AP1's with the S300 shafts are noticably heavier in the shaft, and I cant feel the head of the club as much. I really had to focus on bringing the club through on the first couple of swings. This felt awkward the first few swings, but was easy to get used too. I did notice less draw on the AP'1 and that is nice to see. Defintely have a nice high beautiful slight draw trajectory with these.

I really did not notice any additional feedback between the HT's and AP1's but checking the clubs after the round I cant really say there were obvious mishits on the heads. The only thing was on perfectly struck balls, you almost did not even notice you hit it other then the audible click sound.

The 1 thing I did notice was when I stepped on a few of the clubs, they actually play LONGER then the HT's and it felt much more comfortable leaving the face slightly open at address.

They defintely come through light to mid rough much easier and true then the HT graphites.

Only got to play 9 on friends home course, but it was nice to hit these well first time out. A few really nice shots that made me feel comfortable and confident with the AP1's.

I only got to take a few practice swings with the 4-6 iron as I had no shots that I needed them for on the course, the 4 and 5 have an intimidating look and I am sure it will take some swings to groove them in and get familiar with.

There is no magic to them, but they play well and feel very nice.

Update: the more I hit them, the more I am noticing the change.

54 holes under my belt with them to this point and 3 buckets of balls.

7-gap wedge - these things hit HUGE when pured. My ball is higher, noticable longer, and straighter. Less offset is SOOO nice to look down at and the smaller heads feel much better to swing with.

I have adjusted to the swingweight and am very pleased with how much straighter these are consistenly. I have noticed on a few poor swings that I now can actually "feel" a mishit. I can also tell you that when these are pured, you might not even notice you hit the ball other then the audible feedback.

The only drawback that has been noticed is that in windy conditions like my front 9 today, you really need to think about club selection and using the wind (cant complain with a 41 though with a good bit of non wedge approaches)

I really wish they offered this in only 5-gap wedge as the 4 iron is going into the closet due too a hybrid. But I must say, after working with the 5 a good bit, no longer intimidated by it and have hit it very well for shots in the 210 yd range (3 20+ ft eagle putts with approach shots with the 5) and this has solved a decent sized gap I have had in the past due to the length I have with my 4 iron replacement hybrid.

I can pretty much check off irons from my list of needs improvement at this point... putting is now what hurts my scores.

You could have custom ordered them in any range you wanted. I got only 6 thru PW cause I use 2 hybrids vs 3-5 irons.

Glad you like them. They are a nice iron.

Congrats on your new sticks.

Glad to hear you like them.

They certainly are the frontrunner for me in my search to replace my irons by the years end.

glad you like them.

I played my first round with a set of AP2's on friday.

Look at the lofts on Titleist's website for the AP1's .. the reason they are going longer is they jack the loft up quite a bit .. it's OK .. because the irons are designed for a little higher ball flight ..

I loved my AP2's when I hit them .. I didn't really mishit a shot .. yardages were a little off (shorter than my TM Tour Burners by about 5 yards) .. but my favorite was a 175 yard 7 iron at the last, completely flushed to 6" for an eagle (500 yard par 5).
