Hi Guys

Appologies in advance if this question has been asked loads but i'm having real problems with my driver. My 3 wood is a little more consistent but not by much. Any input would be great.

Thanks

Hi Guys

Hit your 3 wood instead

, and if you actually want some help with that driver problem at the very least describe what your problems with it are and if you want some real help post a video of your swing.

Sorry for being so vague!!

I have to agree with craig, a video of your swing would still help.

slice is caused by the club face left open at and after impact:

tips
1) check your grip postion and pressure
a) change to a stronger grip and loosen the pressure especially your right hand
2) rotate your big muscles
a) practice swing with your feet together
3) keep your head behind the ball
4) rotate your hands from square backswing to square at your finish
5) drop a club on the target line and make sure you are swing on and within the target line and not outside
a) take the club slightly inside the target line
6) slightly dip your rear shoulder
7) check your ball position just inside your front heel
8) slightly close the club face at address
9) check the distance of your hands to your body, about a hand distance away and make any adjustments

One thing that has been helping me lately is spot aiming.
I tee the ball up behind a divot or other noticable mark on the T box.
Then when I take my stance I can see the line my feet make and the line the ball and the "spot" make. It really helps me keep the club on plane. Other wise I tend to slip into an out to in swing path. (resulting in pull or slice)

Ks88 has some great tips as well. good luck

Here's what worked for me: Make sure the ball is forward in your stance - just inside your left foot (assuming you're a righty). And hold a glove, towel, tee or something small under your right arm during your swing (again, assuming you're a righty). Also, don't try to kill the ball - just swing as hard as you can while still maintaining a smooth tempo.

This actually used to be (Sometimes still is when I don't focus lol) my main problem. What my pro told me to do though is set up normally but then move my right foot (Assuming you're a righty) back so I'm facing a little bit behind the ball. At first I had no idea how this would help but apparently it helps me swing around the ball more and fix the bad rotations that I was putting on the ball.

    • Day 87 (27 Jul 25) - Made it an easy session with the wedge this afternoon, worked on staying in the shot and not lifting out - split between low spinners and higher floaters.
    • Shot my new low 72 (par 70) today. Had 5 birdies, also a new best, which included a hole out from the bunker on par 3 6th, and another hole out pitch from 15ish yards on the long par 4, 15th.  Got a couple of other good breaks. Except for an OB drive on 14th (and ensuing double bogey), not much went wrong. All in all I might have used up a year's worth of luck in a single day.
    • Back in the saddle after vacation.  Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.
    • Yes, I have seen this from the older crowd that play the 4,700 yard tees and want to know why they get less strokes from there. Always trying to game the system 🤣
    • Day 300 - 2025-07-27 Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so. Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).
