New Putter

When I went to play yesterday i took my old putter from when i was younger, and i get better feel with it, My putter i use now is a 35in. This one is a 32in. I am 5' 5", do u guys think this shorter putter will be alright for me.

Its not always how you drive the ball, but how it arrives.

I'm 5'5 as well and had my Scotty cut down to a 32"

It used to be a 34" and the shortened length has felt so much more comfortable for me. So yeah, this shorter putter would definitely be alright for you.

It'll be fine for now - but you are still growing I assume, so it may cause trouble in the long run.

But 35" for someone 5'5" is def. too long.

About the growing part, yeah i am still growing so i will keep my 35" and use it when i get taller

I agree with the post that 35" is to long for a 5'5" player. It really comes down to comfort. If you are comfortable with the length and have confidence in it, you will putt well. Once you lose confidence, nothing ever seems to go in. If the shorter putter is working right now, keep it going.

For comparison sake....I'm 6'5" and my last putter was 33.5".


My current putter is 35".

I do think I'm in a better position now.

I'm 5'7" and my putter is 33" so yeah, it should be just about perfect for you!

Ya its wierd for me. Im 6'3" and used to use a 36" putter but I always choked up on it. I got a 34" putter recently and still always wanted to choke up on and it feels wierd when I don't for some reason. So I decided to get a 35" putter and just choke up on it because I have much better feel it seems when I do.

32" it actually came with my junior set of clubs that i got 4 years ago

      Day 29 (9 Dec 25) - PW dink and rolls as well as low flighted chips.  Dink and rolls - set up with club head toe down/heel up to promote low flight, plenty of roll out.  Low flighted pitches - club flat on the ground to get ball up a Rick more and check more.   No more than 10yds total distance - focus on getting the ball to finish near (within 10’ dia circle) the target “pin”…

      Only ever used ShipSticks and never had a problem. It's really nice because you can ship to anywhere not just courses.  No matter what you use, I take the extra care of the clubs and wrap them in something before putting them in your bag and into the shipping box.

      Practicing my putting after work. I put five balls on the carpet and a mug on the other side. Once I make 3 out of 5 I can stop. If I leave any short or they go to far and fall off the rug, I restart.  Focusing on speed and hitting my mark 3 inches in front of me. Trying to gain consistency and discipline in all aspects of my putting game.
