Nice finish to league play season last night ...

My partner has really struggled all year. Last night he staked a par-3 AND made the birdie putt--good for both pin-shot and skin money. Only the second time all year he's won anything. Good for him!

Hole #9 is the #1 hdcp hole on the nine. 390 with a cut rock wall-like moat (yes, with water) guarding the green. Short, long and left are all jail shots to the green as well. It's the only hole were birdie for me pretty much guarantees a rare skin. Crushed a drive, hit 8-iron to 25' (can't be shy on the approach shot!) then hit the perfect putt for the rare BIRDIE on the hole!!! Nice. It paid well, too!

We'll have a league tournament this Friday and a nice steak dinner afterwards, prizes, etc. Really enjoyed it this year even though my partner and I finished 9th out of 12 teams! Winning cash is definitely secondary to having fun and playing with people we enjoy being around.
