For some reason, I am now hitting a vicious low boring hook off the tee with both my driver and three wood. The driver is worse than the three wood, but not much. I've spent hours on the range trying to fix this without any luck.

While a draw is my normal ball flight, it's never been like this off the tee. And I'm hitting my irons as well as I ever have.

Any thoughts on this? What more information can I provide?

If you don't think it's your swing, sounds like possibly your shaft is too flexible. I have been hooking my driver and 3 wood occasionally, and I was told to go on a launch monitor and see if I need a stiffer shaft.

To start, a video of your swing would be great!

one quick simple thing i did when i struggled with hooks,
\
Take your standard interlocking grip, now move the right hand up one more finger position, so that the pinkie on your right hand is covering the middle finger on the left hand.

I was hooking cuz i had an overpowering right hand when i fired through, so this helped neutralize it. If you dont understand, i can take a picture.

You may be hanging back on the back leg making you swing around the ball off your intended path.

Low boring hook.

Low sounds like your swing is too flat and hook sounds like a closed club face at impact.

Maybe you should try lifting you arms higher to cure the flatness.

The closed club face seems like it could be a timing issue. My guess is that your arms are out pacing your body leading to a closed clubface at impact. Try starting your downswing with your lower body.

Another reason for the hook could be that you are flipping your wrists. I do not know a good cure for that except stop flipping your wrists. The back of your left hand should be facing the target line at impact.

    • Day 1: After a long practice layoff due to injury, vacation, winter darkness, and work stuff, I'm trying to start back up again. Today I just hit balls with keys from my lesson 6-ish weeks ago; neutral grip and centered turn. Gonna work with that for a few weeks, see how it goes, and then get a lesson scheduled.
    • It’s not live on free to air tv in the UK, and hasn’t been since 1995. ( I pay a subscription to Sky for generally good golf coverage). There are limited highlights on the BBC for some golf events, but that’s it. Are other/all PGA events on NBC?  Allowing ticket scalping is a systemic failure across sports and showbiz, which could be legislated against, but in the UK is not in any meaningful way. I don’t know much about the secondary market in the US or anti scalping measures.  Charging more to keep prices down is an interesting concept, in practice no doubt you are right even if It sounds a bit Catch 22  Do you think sports tickets and broadcast rights  should be sold on a purely capitalist basis, or is there an argument to say that some sports might benefit more from wider exposure and affordable access. ( golf in the US is apparently not one of these if tickets sold out at those prices so quickly)  Fans might benefit from cheaper tickets and in the UK at least, TV coverage that reaches a wider audience.
