Do you think a stiff shaft is in order?

If I change shafts I am thinking about doing it myself for fun. I have a shop with plenty of tooling.

I was looking around and found this.... UST ProForce 65 Graphite Wood Shaft (.350" Tip) for around $35.00.

What do you guys think?

With your swing speed, I would recommend a stiff shaft. Your average seems to say that a flex shaft or even a slightly flex shaft would be too open at impact.

Yes I think you need a stiff shaft. Once your club head speed gets above about 95, its time for a stiff shaft.

Right. And you also want to work on finding the center of the clubface. You should be nearer to a 1.5 ratio with your ball speed versus swing speed.

Any recommendations on a stiff shaft that is $30 - $50 range?

Also I saw someone selling .350 to .335 adapters. Any reason for a me to mess with that ore just stick to .350?

Launch angles look good.

The spin rate is a tad high, not bad though, the stiffer shaft should help with both the launch and spin to bring them both down a bit.

And as Iacas mentioned, the ball velocity seems a little low for your swing speed. Need better contact on the clubface.

I really like your numbers for the "highest ball velocity" attempt, looks like you hit it pretty close if not on the center.

I had the UST V2 HL in my TM 425 TP and it is a really nice shaft, I would recommend it to anyone, it does play a bit softer then advertised so make sure to get the CPM measured and the shaft tipped to your swing. I would probably go with the non HL line though, I don't think you need any help with your launch.

If you plan on doing the shaft chance yourself you might be surprised that it's not as easy and as straight forward as one might think. Having lots of tools and have the right is a huge difference. Since you don't seem to know the difference or the reason for .335 to .350 adaptors I would think that it might be best for you to leave a reshaft of your gamer to a professional. If you want to play around I would suggest maybe buying a used crappy driver to do some trial runs on.

Thank you for the help and shaft suggestions. I was a little vague in my question about the shaft adapter.

I understand that the non tour play Superquad is a .350 and the tour play is a .335. What I don't understand is the benefit of a .335 tip vs a .350 tip.

I didn't want to brag about tools or a shop, someone always has something bigger, nicer, better, so I was keeping it low key.

I would purchase a few specialty items but I have the basics.

Agree 100% about doing a crappy driver first, unfortunately all I have are some old wood drivers
of my dads and that is completely different.

Not necessarally. It depends on if you are a swinger or hitter. His last set of numbers had the best ball rpm, which I belive should be around 2500 rpm's for optimal performance.

My driver ss is 100-103 and b/c I'm a swinger I usually have to get a regular flex shaft and tip it to the recommended 3w length to stiffen it up a little for my driver. I tip the 3w to the recommended 5w length, depending on the shaft of course. Adilah's, SK Fiber and Stulz shafts I don't have to do that; V2and Grafalloy I have to do that. Everybody's stiff shafts are different. Stiff shaft from one manufactor won't be the same stiff shaft from another; one companies stiff can be another companies regular. I had a hell of a time figuring this out, not to mention the money.

As I understand it, tour modles will always have the smaller diameter b/c it will kick a little more than a .350. It is tricky pulling a graphite shaft, so what I do is go to my favorite golf shop and have them pull it and I do the rest of the work.

IMO, Grafalloy Pro Launch Platinum is the best under 100 bux shaft out there. I really like Stulz shafts also, but a little spendy. If you buy the shaft from Golfsmith I would highly recommend getting it sst/pured for about 10 more bux, well worth it. To get it down to the price you posted you mite have to go to some golf chat sites and see what kind of pulls they have advertized. If you do that 4gea is a good site to start with. If I shim, i.e. putting a .335 into a .350 I prefer the copper shimes.
