Pull Hook off the tee

I have been hitting the driver well lately distance wise. I am, however, hitting everything left. Not just a draw, but a pretty sizable hook. What exactly could be going wrong. This doesnt happen with my long irons. Any suggestions?

Are you also occasionally hitting a bit thin ??

Only reason I ask is I suffered from pull hooks a short while ago and found my ball position had moved too far forward in my stance. But I also suffered from the occasional thin shot.

I personally start snap hooking the ball when I stand too close to the ball.

Is it a pull hook, or just a big bending hook that starts out to the right?

it is a pretty good pull hook. i have a pretty strong grip and i want the ball to draw so i dont want to jerk with my grip too much. but i can aim 20 yards right of the fairway and miss it left.

Thanks for the resposes guys i will check my ball position and see if that helps.

Had the same problem,I wasnt driving through the ball,moving the ball back a couple of inches in my stance cured it for me.

I pull hook my drive when I don't finish my back swing or stand too close to the ball.

I try to stand further away and watch my take away and sometimes take it outside the target line to compensate for my hook.

Have you tried playing a fade so that you can learn to control the ball both ways?

I play the fade by slightly opening the club face and stand slightly further away from the ball and take the club outside the target line on my backswing. I have notice my fade ball actually feel better swing wise than my draw swing.

I use my fade shot with my driver off the fairway also and it works really well, the only difference is that I will pick the club right up on my outside swing and I aim left of where I want the ball to end up and open the club face more than usual.
