Nope! It is illegal. It is tolerated and licensed in some cafes; but, it is not legal and citizens can be imprisoned for selling and distributing the drug.

I hear that the European Community is pushing to pressure a complete ban. The legal status of marijuana in Canada is in flux. The courts in Ontario have repeatedly declared Canada's marijuana laws to be of no force and effect. However, historical challenges to marijuana laws at the federal level have not resulted in the deletion of the appropriate articles from the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Currently, police and prosecution services in other Canadian jurisdictions still pursue criminal charges for marijuana possession. There are decriminalization initiatives in several countries but, on the books, marijuana is still illegal.

Its all about making choices in life.

In a FREE society, shouldn't you have the CHOICE to do drugs if you choose?? Especially if you are not hurting anyone but yourself?
