Found a box of Precept U-Tri tour balls at Target for $17 so I figured I would give em a try.

To my knowledge, I have never played with a 3 piece...what should I expect? Is this a bad move for a high handicapper like myself?

Expect more spin, which can be a good and a bad thing. If you have a slice or a hook, it's going to be more pronounced.

Depends on the 3-piece you are talking about.

Callaway HX-Hot reduces spin off the driver.

Not sure about the Precept... look on the USGA website for the specs of it and that should give you a good idea what to expect in terms of spin.

precepts are pretty good distance balls, at least in my experience.

tell us how they work for you.

When the planets are aligned and the fairways are dry, I usually top off at 265. I probably average 240-245 off the tee normally. Not looking for more distance really. I like spin and the box says lower trajectory, which I could definitely use.

I will reply once I get a chance to test them out. First I have to get all these damn animals out of this damn ark...
