Question About Re-Shafting Ping Eye2's...

I love my Eye2's with original Microtaper shafts but wanted to go to a new shaft that better suits my swing speed. I was told by a good friend (NOT a salesman) that I probably wouldn't want to re-shaft the Eye2's because the newer clubheads are specifically designed to maximize the performance of newer shafts. His point was that I would be mixing a high performance shaft with 20+ year old technology and wouldn't get maximum benefit from the new shafts.

Does he have a valid point?

I dont have a clue, but Ping might ? Give them a call and have a chat.
