Anyone know why these balls have "deeper" dimples spaced evenly around the ball? It looks like about 6 or 10 of them. Any purpose to this or could it be a bad batch?

In the Vector:

Driver - Hibore XL 9.5
Woods - exotics cb2 15* 906f4 18.5*
Hybrid - clk 20Irons - MP-33 (4-P)Wedges - oil can vokey's 52.08, SM56.10, SM60.08Putters - Studio Laguna 2.5Ball - Touri

Not a bad batch. Callaway employs RIM (Reaction injection moulding or summat) when making their balls. The core is held exactly central in a mould and the outer cover is injected. Then when the mould is removed it leaves these deeper dimples.
I'm not a huge fan of it (asthetically), but it doesn't seem to have many/any adverse effects...

If your do some research, Titleist ProV1's have about seven different dimple sizes. They do so much testing and R&D;, i'm sure they have a good reason for it.

I would guess either, spin or distance control. Not a bad batch though.
