I've only demoed a 6 iron a couple years back when they were way out of my league for my skill level at the time. But these irons get tremendous reviews every year by both major review magazines. If you're considering a set, I'd say hit them 1st but I'd be willing to bet you would love them. My boss is a 4 handicap and has carried them since they first came out. He can hit his 3 iron like a 7 iron so his only problem with them was keeping the short irons down. Probably a shaft issue. They are very workable from what I understand, if that is your thing too.

If you go with these and don't like them later, I'd be willing to bet the hold their value as well as any club on the market.

My friend just got those irons and they are great but if you are one of those people who like a soft buttery feel these might not be for you, They have a very unique feel that some love and others hate. One thing that i dont like though is that once you get to the 8 9 PW the sole gets very wide, but again it is all personal opinion.

I would honestly say they are one of the more diverse sets on the market..

They are workable, but you can get away with a bad swing, the soles are kinda big on the short irons, but thats not an issue really, just a feel problem.

You can knock em down, hit em hihg, left, right, anything really.

Feel is kinda odd, they are soft, but responsive, like you can tell if you hit it on the toe, or a bit off, but if your just a smidge off, it feels pretty flush.. probobly not a big problem for the average player =P

Ive been seriously considering picking up a set of either the R7 TP's, or Cleveland CG Reds, or Callaway X-20 tours.

Cant decide which.

I couldn't stand the ones I had briefly. Felt way too clunky, provided little to no feedback...

I played those along side the Cobra Carbon Cavity Back for about a season. The Cobra's felt much more like a players iron, even though the R7 TP was played by some tour players. They were much more forgiving than the Cobras but not as responsive and easy to work.

I had those irons in my bag for the past two years up until about a month ago when i switched to the 735's. I still think that they were great clubs that were semi workable yet very forgiving. My only gripe with them personally was that they felt a bit too top heavy. just try them out!
