I have an iPhone 3G and am looking for advice on the best choice out there for an app the will track the score of a round, allow me to track key statistics, and anything else that may be helpful. I want something that will help me learn and improve.

Have been researching and have it down to a few early contenders. Although expensive and in the lead is ViewTi G. Costs $40 but it really has some features that are pretty cool. Can bring up a Google map of the hole. Nice if you are on a new course. I am going to write to them to see what they have for courses in my area.

Igolfmemoir is free but it is limited in what id does and it needs work.

Golf-Ace seemed interesting, have not researched a lot. Costs $20

GolfCard is $7 and seemed like a decent option. Had some good features and good reviews.

And to hold the new app, was able to rig up 3 velcro straps on my BagBoy cart. Works perfect for me.

Any feedback on this is appreciated.

I've had Teeshot on my phone for quite a while and it's a good iphone golf app. Most courses are on there, and it's easy to add new courses on your own if you so choose. There has been a recent GPS update, but I'm not using it because, 1. GPS device on the phone is not accurate enough for golf. 2. Battery drain, won't last you 18 holes. Overall, great program to keep all your stats. Much cheaper than the ones you're considering as well.

I'm looking for a good stat tracking app as well. I have an iPod touch....so no GPS. I want a nifty looking interface to go along with it too though. You know how us twenty somethings are....it has to look cool while doing it's job

This is good, I do like the looks of the TeeShot app. It is definitely at the top of the pack. Appreciate the feedback.

Anyone else use another app out there?
