Goydos bunker shot

Did anyone see Paul Goydos putt out of the bunker yesterday? What a great shot! It's a shame he missed the putt.

It was a great shot. Too bad the reason for it was because someone forgot to pick up a divot.

That was AWESOME! I was surprised to see that play. I have to try that sometime when the bunkers are firm and/or wet. My bunker play is okay, so I'll keep that in mind. What a creative shot!

I played with a guy once who putted out of THREE bunkers in one round. One was a pretty obvious choice (flat bunker, no lip, lots of green) but the other two lent themselves to a traditional explosion, and he still putted. None were extraordinary shots but they were at least as good as I see most people hit standard explosion shots.

Dumb Rule I believe. Should have been allowed to throw away the tuft of grass and replace his ball to where it was. Same goes with divots on the fairway.
