I noticed that some people commented on how I should be addressing the ball specifically aligning it with the heel of the driver.

I never really knew the purpose or why this was the case? I am beginning to think it has something to do on how “they” swing or there is a real reason to this…

Someone educate me.

I play to swing through the ball from the middle sweet-spot of the driver, I set up to the ball by having it positioned an inch back from the heel of my left foot.

I put tape on my clubface to figure out how to setup, Turns out if I align the ball with the toe, I end up hitting on the sweet spot, so that's what I do. I re-check this with tape from time to time because, as I found out, my swing changes slowly here and there.

I line up slighly to the heel side. If I line up dead center I'll hit it slightly toward the toe. This is why professionals have their clubs made specifically for their individual swings. They are able to tweek each gram of weight and amount of torque, flex, kick etc of every club.

I have always lined he ball up dead centre however my playing partener have said i hit the ball on the heel of the club. (may this be why i slice the ball a fair bit) so next time at the range i might experiment with alinement a bit

In my other post about correcting my slice, I never really aligned it with the heel. Although i have seen many players do that and I, even tried it out. I don't know but I guess I wasn't paying attention but not seeing much of a difference..then again, I would align it and then forget what or how I did to see a difference. Hmm..
