What are your colloquialisms? What local slang do you employ?

Some that come to mind stereotypically would be: hella (NoCal) "That's hella cool!"/dang (midsouth) "Dang, that sucks."/ wicked (Boston) "It's wicked cold" etc...

What do you say?

I've always said "awesome".

Right now everyone in kansas everyone seems to be saying "douche bag", or "DB". I even say it. It's getting annoying.

Coming from a baseball/softball background, I tend to use those terms on the course. Usually in the form of when someone has a really good drive: "Nice poke!" or "Good rip!"

My wife is Chinese so I like to "Ai Yah" meaning darn or shucks or other slangs words I tell my kids not to say..... I say it when I miss a putt that I know I should have made or something goes wrong during a round of golf............. so my group hears it alot from me.

Its the perfect word because depending on how upset you are you can say "Ai Ja" with more emotion and louder and I feel a little better after I say it........... did I misspell a word in this reply................ Ai Ja!!!!
