Well, it's being presented as "my wife and daughter are getting a wii and wii fit for xmas" muwahahahaha

I'm not a gamer. and this will be my first console since the Atari I had as an adolescent, but we have friends who have wii's and have used them on snow vacations and at parties. Played the wii sports golf and Tiger Woods 08 and had a lot of fun - but of course the swing mechanics left a little to be desired, especially with putting, I thought.

Apparently this has been totally retooled for 09 with "1:1 swing mechanics" or something.

Anyone here try it? Comments? Seems like most of you are xboxers. Any Wii folk?

I have a Wii and TW08. I really like it, but I hear 09 is supposed to be pretty awesome. It's on my list.

I have it and its a lot of fun. the swing mechanics are perfect and very responsive which makes for fantastic gameplay.

That's awesome to hear! Would you say its a big improvement over 08?

Have you been able to tryout the new online play feature?

I have played online, and it works well. Very speedy play too.

My kids are getting a Wii as well and I too will be getting this game. They make a golf club mock that you put the remote into and I will get that to go with.

I've the 08 and 09. While 09 has some improvements, the thing that really kills it for me is the putting!!!! I'm not hot on the way they retooled that... you almost have to make a full swing to make even a 5 footer. Thats not the way to set up a game that is supposed to mimic a golf swing! Otherwise, its a good game. However, that said, I dislike the putting SO much I don't play it very often :(

WTIB:
Callaway FT-9 Tour 9.5° Scads of shafts - now: Kai'li 63 stiff
Tour Edge Exotics 3 & 5 FW
Callaway X-22 Tour irons
Bobby Jones 3 & 4 hybridsRife Abaco/Odyessy Black Series i9 puttersWith a few more hangin' around

Lol well they make you do a full swing for where you are aiming, so if your aiming for a 5 footer, you will have to take a "full" 5 footer stroke. I love it, anyone send me a friend request, my profile is tsr1335, ill play with anyone, it's so much fun, my guy drives it like 360. I just wish sergio and AK were in it!

My sister has a Wii, and I bought TW09 the last time I spent a lot of time up there. The game is going to see a lot of play when I go back during the holidays.

In my UnderArmour Links stand bag...
