You have 10. You don't have 0. So no, you're wrong, and my statement about starting with 10 is correct.

Where in the control panel can I keep track of my reputation level?

Very bottom, the reputation area. Mine says (to the right) "134 point(s) total". The reputation comments are below it.

What is the difference between Rep Power and Reutation Level?

I think that's been answered already. But here's a short version:

Rep Power - a measure of your ability to affect the reputation level of others. Reputation Level - a measure of how good your reputation is.

Sorry, I haven't used a forum much before and I just can't figure out where to find my reputation status. I clicked on User CP in the top left corner and have looked all around for my reputation status. I can't find it anywhere.

Where exactly should I be looking?

This too has already been answered.

If you visit this page, http://thesandtrap.com/forum/usercp.php , it will tell you how many reputation points you have. Your reputation power is displayed on each of your posts (yours is 1 currently). That means you could affect my reputation by a total of one point, good or bad. Everyone starts with 10 reputation points.

If you visit this page,

I have been to this page and there is nothing there about reputation points. It has a listing of recent threads I have subscribed to and a table of various options and settings on the left side. I have been through all of these options and don't see anything about reputation.

I haven't been able to find the reputation section either. Maybe it's just easy to overlook; either way, here's a screen cap of what my user cp looks like:

OK, so you don't see it because you've not received any reputation comments yet, in which case your rep total can't be under 10 because the only way it could drop would be to receive negative reputation (comments).

Let's move on now.

Ok here is how it works.....you will not see a reputation section in the user CP if you have not had anyone provide feedback(points) on your reputation (positive or negative). Once you have a person give you a reputation point that panel will display in your user CP.

This explains why jeffr92 can not see the panel in his user CP...because he hasn't received any points - positive or negative.

Erik sees it because he has tonnes of positive reputation points and again it is different than the rep power located with your avatar each time you post.

I just received a positive point and can now see the panel in my User CP

Hope this helps clear things up.

Again, you have 10 reputation points. You have 0 reputation power. They're different.

And of course you can see your user control panel. What you can't see is one of the PANELS in your user control panel that displays reputation comments.

    • Hi all. I have sought permission from admin to post this here. First, here's a quick link to my products on TST, which a few of the mods have been road-testing...  Most of you would be aware of the import tariffs imposed on importers to the US circa September last year. Prior to their introduction, I was selling a decent number each week into the 'States. Since the tariffs came in - which added ~AU$60 to the total cost of getting them over there - sales have dropped to virtually nil. I think fear of the tariffs is the biggest part rather than the actual cost increase, despite me declaring everywhere on my site that we pay the tariffs and have successfully got every order into the US without any problems since. What is still unknown to most US consumers is that these tariffs will DOUBLE in February as Australia Post will no longer be allowed to offer "private" rates, they all change to "commercial". I do indeed think that this will make the products uncompetitive to ship there. So what's the backstory?  I'm a small Aussie business, not some corporate juggernaut. I invented these products - not a reseller for someone else. The import tariffs double in February, so add another ~15% to the total cost. If you want StanceMate alone I can do a super deal on a run-out model PREVIEW HERE (note you cannot purchase this yet. I think the shipped price will be about AU$110 inc Shipping (tariffs included). If you want to reduce the cost of the whole Stryper Plus Bundle I can swap the runout StanceMate to reduce the overall price by AU$60. These work EXACTLY as the newer version, just not as premium quality in the way the finish is achievbed in production) IMPORTANT: All import tariffs are PRE-PAID at my end, and clears customs no problem. I've sent a half dozen since October with every one delivered. NB: I'm not here to get into the politics of the decisions on tariffs, so let's not go down that road. It is what it is! So StanceMate to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - about US$70 Bundle to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - US$240 Bundle (with version 1 StanceMate) to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - US$200 Cheers Corbs
