Who would you take in a year long Fantasy pool and why. I'm leaning towards Adam given his top end is so much higher than Hunter's historicly but the guy has a lot of distractions these days and Hunter appears ready to blossum.

With Adams recent injury issues I would probably go with Hunter. He's probably the more consistent player of the 2, but Adam, when healthy, seems to have a higher ceiling. The only concern I have is what happens with Adam this year, health wise. In golf you often see injury issues linger for a long time or see players have trouble coming back because of trying to protect against reoccurance of injury or because they have practiced less.

2 years ago, i would have taken Adam im a heartbeat, however, Adam has been playign soem pretty terrible golf.

Adam was cut in the first or second round of the FedEx cup and you can see he is frustrated withhsi game lately. Hunter on the other hand played decent to amazing golf all year, and also played well at teh Ryder Cup. A great match up, but i would take Hunter

if both were 100% healthy, the nod goes to adam scott. although mahan has been more consistent, scott has more potential.

Problem is that I think Adam's "injury" was just a way to get out of his home countries tournaments. So he could rest and recharge for the PGA this year.

Once Hunter gets settled down on and around the greens, he'll be a force to be reckoned with. I'd take him, I really don't have a lot of faith in Adam Scott. Especially his putter.

Mahan he seems to be blossoming into a fine player.

One thing to make note of. Mahan is a 186 in putting averaging over 30 putts a round. Eeeeek

I almost agree. . .I think Adam simply likes to surf more than he likes to golf. He can't wait until the off season so he can grab his board and hit the waves. The problem is, I think he's a much worse surfer than golfer!

I don't think Scott's head is completely in his game. He needs to figure out what he wants exactly. I'd pick Mahan. He's going to be one of those 4 or 5 young 'uns that going to be atop the leaderboards a lot this year.

If it is a PGA Tour only fantasy pool, which I'm assuming it is, Mahan will play in more tournaments than Scott too, which may factor into your decision.

You can't just golf for all your time, when you do it as a job at least 8 hours a day.
Give scott some credit, he's a phenomenal golfer, I would easily take him, he will get his game together, and I don't see mahan getting a top-5 any time soon.

I agree that you can't just play golf. Tiger loves to lift and run do that sort of thing. Jack was a huge fisherman traveling to countries like Russia to fly fish Salmon. Johnny Miller was a pretty big outdoors men. I agree no big deal at least in my eyes that Scott likes to surf. What about Boo Weekley, he plays golf so he can fish and hunt. Boo has even gone on record saying that he likes fishing and hunting more than golf.

hah with boo, goes to show all the fans with camo hats. Hah he's crazy, but I think it's good for the game, exposure to a new crowd.

By his own admission, Scott is not playing well and is low on confidence. I saw him in the flesh in Singapore a couple of months ago and I'd have to agree! Mahan, on the other hand, had a great "silly season", so his confidence must be high. Both are putting badly, but with guys of this ability, confidence is king. Therefore, it must be Mahan, although I hope Scott gets back on track soon.
