I used to game a Cameron Inspired by Brad Faxon, a carbon steel version of the Laguna 2.5. This putter was the only OTR/Limited putter that was finished in the 3X Oil Can finish that is usually found only on tour made putters.

The Stainless Steel version is a nice putter but not quite the soft feel of the IBBF.

I've got a Laguna Pro Platinum and love it, has such superb feel....always wanted one since I tried one a friend of mine had a few years back.

As you play ProV1x you'll be fine but I've hit a few hard balls when practicing (Pinnacles, Dunlops and the ilk) and they clink and don't feel good off the face.

I had read so many posts with positive things to say about Scotty putters since I joined this forum that I decided to join the phenomenon. I landed on a Studio Stainless Laguna 2.5. I found one on Ebay and even got a limited edition leather grip to replace the Studio Design grip. It has a great lively feel. I was thinking about just keeping it just as a indoor, off the carpet putter. It was one of the 1/500 edition putters. I have been considering using it now that I am unsure how my Rife will perform next year on NH greens. The Rife only has two degrees of loft. The grooves on the face are supposed to make up for the loft by lifting the ball slightly at impact. I like the feel and look of the Rife. It is a little heavier than the Scotty, but I am not sure if I will need the extra loft of the S.C. Anyway, the Laguna 2.5 is a nice putter. I cut it down from 35, so I lost a little weight, but the putter does have exceptional feel.

P.S. Hello fellow Flyertalker

Yes, I am one in the same. :) I am not traveling as much as I used to, lost my Global Service status with UA, President's Circle status with Hertz, Platinum status with Marriott but am home now a lot more. I do have lifetime 1P status so all is not lost.

Does anyone have info about the Gun Metal finish on a Laguna 2.5? I looked at the Scotty Cameron website but couldn't find any Laguna 2.5 models listed with the Gun Metal finish. Found the Studio Stainless and Pro Platinum versions... thanks in advance!
