Anyone play Meadows Farms Locust Grove, VA ?

Just did a quick search of the forum and I see it mentioned a few times.

Just read an article in a recent issue of GD, but was disappointed not to see a few more pictures. Didn't find much on it's own web site. I've seen the waterfall hole and there's a clear shot of the island green. I wanted to see a better picture of the Baseball hole.

It sounds like a great course to play at least once.I hope to get there soon.
If nothing else than to play the monster par 6 841 yds from the tip

Anybody have any pictures or accounts of playing the course to share ?

Read the article last night.


I'd like to see some picks of the "Baseball" hole.


The "Watefall" hole was really amazing. I'd love to play it.


I'm not certain I'd enjoy their par 6 hole...it sounded brutish.

      Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

      Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.

      I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
