I have been watching some Ping irons on ebay. They are 1 degree upright and I am a standard lie. Just wondering if anyone knows how much would it cost to have the lie angle adjusted on some Ping S59 irons.

Most club lie adjusments are $5 per club. When you say you are a standard lie, according to which manufacturer? There are often 1 or 2* difference in "standard" lies between companies. If you are standard in Ping, I wouldn't fret 1* until you hit them. Then you could bend them if you needed it. I've heard that Ping wants you to have them bend the clubs, but if you are buying used I wouldn't think you would have a warranty anyway. Any good clubfitter should be able to do that for you. I believe that model has a hosel notch just to facilitate the bending process. Not exactly sure though.

Personally, I'd take them out and hit them a few times; if you hit them well, don't change the lie.

I just got the lie on all my irons and wedges adjusted at Kepler's in Walnut Creek for $65. Awesome shop for anyone in the neighborhood. Who knew I needed to be 2* up for all my irons?

      Ah.. my regular weekend league. Lol Scrambles are fine. Usually there's charity involved. So there's that. There are much worse events Im forced to attend twice a year.

      I enjoyed the A-B-C-D scramble we did at Kittyhawk before it shut down. Yes. The point was to meet the other members and get the season kicked off. Nobody took it too seriously. At least with that group, cheating wasn't a big issue.  As the D part of A-B-C-D, I enjoyed getting to play with one of the Association's top players. One year I played with the city champ. Man could he hit a ball.  It probably isn't something I'd want to do more than once a year, but it has its place.
