Well Ive been working at hitting the driver now since the beginning of the season and still with no luck. Im hitting my irons real well, the driver not so good at all. I think I have a reverse pivot with the driver in my hand, but with the irons I dont. I know it sounds crazy but i would say im 90% sure. I keep losing my balance on my right foot on my follow through, and my drives at the range go about 185 yards. I hit a 6 iron the same distance. My question is what are some good drills to fix this. Oh I have a Callaway 454 Firm shaft, mid kick and mid tourque, 63 grams weight. Not sure if that info is necessary but there has been alot of shaft talk on here, and some of you guys would know better then me. Thanks.

I recommend starting with your weight on your right side already. Tilt your spine away from the fairway, then rotate around it. Initiate the downswing by slightly kicking out (forward) the left knee or replanting the left heel if it moves during the backswing.

open up your right foot 10* so you get a full turn on your backswing and hold for 10 seconds, to start downswing properly. Note-downswing starts frrom the bottom up

Try to swing looser and slower with driver, My tempo with my irons are 24/8 but my tempo for my driver 27/9

One of the tips I learned a while ago that I thought was pretty useful was to practice swinging the driver while standing just on your left foot. You have no choice but to end up with your weight on your left side unless you like falling over. You may have to start with a smaller, softer swing, but it will begin to feel natural in no time.

Just saw Nancy Lopez on the golf channel and she moves her right knee forward before she starts the backswing, keeps her balanced and online with a good turn.
I tried it and it seemed to help, I'll keep trying this move for a while and see how it works after I get use to it.
