Just checked the leader board for the Bob Hope classic. Pat Perez is at 9 under through 11. Several players have shot 5-7 under on the front 9 so far, so it seems that the course conditions are favorable for low scores today.

Briny Baird Chris Dimarco are 9 under as well

Each with 1-hole left to play.

I believe that 59 is the lowest official PGA round carded. With 6 left to play if he stays on his streak he could go low. -E

Everytime is see Pat Perez I think of the AT&T; Pebble Beach tournament a few years ago when he hit his tee shot O.B. on 18. The picture of him with his 3-wood bending over his knee was classic. Dude is incredibly talented... Nice round today, maybe he can keep it going all week.

Why isn't Briny Baird more successful?

He is in the top 10 in putts per 18 and Gir's.

You would think this guy would just dominate.

I believe that 59 is the lowest official PGA round carded.

Notah Begay had a putt to shoot 58 some years ago on the old Nation Wide Tour.

He missed it, but still shot 59.

Briny Baird has made the top-100 in putting only once in his life.

My bad he does suck at putting. I meant Scambling for some crazy reason I threw down putts. My bad. Anyway in 2008 I think he was mid 50s driving accuracy and low 40s scambling with a very good GIR % in 2008. I guess the reason he hasn't won is because of his horrendous putting.

      Definitely not a favorite… For some reason my wife and I started watching Cobra Kai. I know the original was pretty cheesy, but the inability of these people to get over shit that happened like 30 years ago is astounding. And these kids would be arrested, but they don’t even seem to get suspended from school. Would Danny not notice that Johnny’s son looks like Johnny? Etc.? Why would a completely different dojo that has the same name be “banned”? Oy. Not sure we’ll make it to season 2.

      Day 139 - 2025-02-16 Weather led to a rescheduled GEARS lesson, so I used the time to work on my swing for 60 minutes or so. All downswing stuff. Some swings at 93 MPH. Most around 75-80.
