Id say it was more a matter of the old Mizuno logo looked to much like the Adidas logo, so they made the switch to have a logo that is more distinctive.
Whats weird is that last year's Retrogrip glove had the runbird logo on it, but this year's Retrogrip has the old Mizuno "M" logo.

That is interesting that they'd "mix" up the logos. Getting the brand recognition out there is huge....especially in this day and age of more limited advertising.

Whats to say though that TGW and Edwin Watts just didnt update the picture on their catalog though.
If you look on Mizuno's website, the gloves all have the runbird logo...

Hi all, my first post here.

I always thought that the Mizuno logo looked like a bird.

I got a set of MX 200 irons yesterday and used them on the range today, simply great. I got a glove to go with it and noticed it had the 'M' logo rather than the runbird like my previous glove.

Perhaps they like showing their more classic stuff.

      I enjoyed the A-B-C-D scramble we did at Kittyhawk before it shut down. Yes. The point was to meet the other members and get the season kicked off. Nobody took it too seriously. At least with that group, cheating wasn't a big issue.  As the D part of A-B-C-D, I enjoyed getting to play with one of the Association's top players. One year I played with the city champ. Man could he hit a ball.  It probably isn't something I'd want to do more than once a year, but it has its place.

      This year the 2 person scramble at Garland was flighted after 36 holes.  The final 18 holes determined the winner.  This was more fair since most people really wouldn't know what flight they would be in.
