I have created a few posts on various forums to ask about Srixon irons because I'm about to get either the 302's or 506's. Anyway, I looked up their site to see what clubs their staffers play and NONE of them play a Srixon driver. (Stenson, Furyk, Clark, Rollins). Why is this? Are their drivers really that far below the other major brands like TM and Callaway?

Do those guys play Cleveland drivers? Seeing as how Srixon is owned by Cleveland, I would be surprised if they do.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

No, most of the Srixon guys play TM drivers...Stenson plays a Callaway. I've hit the old W506 and the newer one, (ZRW...something like that), and thought they were pretty good. Not sure why none of them use Srixon drivers.

What, your telling me srixon is bigger than cleveland? I doubt that.

either $$$$$ or they're just not that great.

Their contract may only obligate them to play a certain number or type of clubs. Pros choice of drivers can be pretty personal, same with wedges.

King Cobra Comp 5w (YS 5.1 Stiff)
AP1 4,5; AP2 6-P; Vokey 252 08, SM56 14, SM60 08 (Nippon N.S. Pro 950GH Regular)

Never underestimate the money in the tire business or assume things about business in Japan.

A little research never hurts, either: http://thesandtrap.com/bag_drop/srix...cleveland_golf

Source: The Sand Trap The surprise suitor is the parent company of Srixon, Sumitomo Rubber Industries, a leading Japanese tire company.
