Hawaii Golf

At the end on February I'm taking a week long golf trip to Hawaii. Soon i will need to book some tee times! I would like to know what courses you guys and gals think i need to play while I'm there. We will be jumping around islands so i have a lot of options. Let me know!

If you are on Oahu I would suggest...

Ewa Villages if you want to play a muni. I think for non residents its like $50.00 a round. Its a par 73 with 5 par 5's. Its the newest of all the muni's on this island and probably is in the best condition out of all of them.

If you are military or know someone who is, I would highly suggest Navy Marine Golf Course.

Of the Semi Privates, Ewa Beach Golf Club is a must. Until the opening of the Ernie Els designed course earlier this month, I believe Ewa Beach Golf Club was the newest course on the island.

A second semi private I would suggest is Luana Hills. Talk about playing jungle golf! The greens are small, hard, and fast. They say to bring as many balls as your handicap cause they will surely get lost! If you over shoot the green, off into the jungle they go never to return. Imagine playing golf in jurrasic park. They have a signature par 3 hole known as "the pond" which is a relatively short hole but has the likes of a tpc sawgrass 17th hole.

If you got the cash flow for the resort courses, you got to play turtle bay (two courses there) or Ko olina. Finish it off with a challenging public course at Ko'olau.

i agree with the previous post. i would add kapolei. its a real nice course with some challenges. i personally like kapolei because of the gps feature on the cart.

Thanks for the help! so far we've booked times for the plantation course at kapalua and at Ko olau, I think we'll book 1 or two more. not sure where though. im gettin excited!!
