Question about Golf Balls.
I have a Question about golf balls what your favorite Brand of golf ball and why do you like them??

Posted
My favorite ball and the ball I play are 2 different things. I really like premium golf balls, but refuse to pay $45 for them, so I play Bridgestone e7+ because they have a similar trajectory to the premium balls (a little lower and more boring), although they lack the soft urethane cover. My favorite ball is probably either the Callaway iTour or the Bridgestone B330S (although I've not tried the B330 Tour RX, which I think I would like). While I prefer those high priced balls, I realize I have to make tradeoffs with cheaper balls. I also really like the Wilson Zip (very underrated ball) - it's a little higher trajectory, but has great feel and good ball flight (doesn't balloon like some). When the greens start getting harder this summer I'll probably look at either a premium ball or the Bridgestone e5+ because they spin better and are thus much easier to stop on hard greens. If I go with premiums they'll either be used/overruns or I'll look to buy older models of those.

I'm with PiKapp23, I prefer Pro V1, but at $45 a dozen they are out. I play the NXT Tour or the e6+. They aren't as soft around the green as the premium ball, but I can live with them.

Even at $30 a dozen for the NXT Tour, I don't always opt for them. I have found on eBay you can get balls for less then you would pay retail, you just have to be patient and plan ahead when buying them.

My fave is the Bridgestone E5+. Higher trajectories with excellent checking on iron shots. Very crisp and proper off the putter. Love the ball dearly. It's a bit pricier than I care to shell out for right now.

I've stumbled onto what may be the greatest discovery since I began the game....the Noodle Long & Soft ball. Almost identical performance for me as the Bridgestone E5+ for way less. I routinely buy a dozen of these from my home course for $13.50. I'm smitten with these balls. They check up perfectly and I sometimes spin 'em back, too. They are workable as well.

Dub,

Agreed - not a rock off the club, can be controlled around the green.

Hella long off the driver, but it does spin a bit more I noticed on drives.

Look into the TF Gamer as well. Better all around performance and only a few bucks more for 12.

I play the Taylormade TP Red, a 4 piece ball that plays very good . Similar flight and feel of the ProV1x another four piece ball. The thing that I like also is the drop and stop on the green from inside 90-100 yds but they still release when needed from geen side and bunkers. The most important thing to me is feel off the putter, I hate that clack noise off the putter with a harder covered ball. All the high end balls have a softer cover that feels great off all the clubs and the Taylormades are a little cheaper at $39 a dozen. Balls that have riden in the bag are Taylormade reds and blacks, Pro v's and V1x's and NXT tours but they are at the limit of hardness for me.

like others have said, i like the pro v1's when i find them on the course but lose too many balls to ever buy them. I do like the e series of balls but found the noodle+ long and soft provide the same performance at a lower price.

Someone may be able to help with some advice on strata balls. I've never played them but have putted with them and they seemed pretty soft off the face. I also don't know how much they cost.

I will usually play the Bridgestone E5 because they arent bad in price. I will also play used or Pro V1's that I find.

Right now, I'm liking the Bridgestone B330 RX. Only played one round with it though... it's too cold...

My favorite ball is Bridgestone/Precept. I like them because they perform very, very well but arent really all the expensive.
The B330s are pricey, but the E series performs almost like a premium ball but for half the cost.
I like the Precept U-Tri Tours as well. They are a 3-piece ball that performs almost like a premium ball but cost $23 a dozen.
Nothing against Callaway, Titleist, TM or Srixon; but IMO, Bridgestone/Precept is where its at.

I have been playing the Bridgestone B330-s for the last year and absolutely love it, for "my game" there is no better ball. I got a box of TP Red last week cause they were on special (a free sleeve with every dozen ) i have only played one round with them so far but they seem just as good as the B330-s maybe just feel a little firmer, good durability too played the full 18 with it and barely a mark on it.

My favorite ball is the NXT Tour since that was ball I used to break 50 for the first time (on 9 holes.. obviously). But that was loooooooong ago.
