What club did you give up in order to add a 4th wedge?

I'm still on 2 wedges, but I'm at 13 even after the new SW shows up. Thinking about adding an AW in there.

I'd say most people I know have given up on the 3i as the distance is similar to a hybrid they are carrying. And yes, technically, four wedges is the way I would go. I really consider the PW to be a 10i. The 50-52, 54-56, and 58-60 are the true "wedges". The plus 60's are bit of overkill in my book. If you have a 60 with little bounce you can lay that baby wide open and hit it almost straight up. Right now I'm playing a 52 and 58 and my short game with them has been good. I'm still getting used to the bounce on the 58 as my previous LW had very little bounce. The biggest adjustment is the sand. But it's all good.

What have been the differences you find between your LW old and new....new with more bounce?

What types of shots have been easier and tougher? I ask this because I'm playing a relatively low bounce lob but was looking at some with higher bounce angles but didn't know if I'd still be able to open the face as easy.

    • Ah.. my regular weekend league. Lol Scrambles are fine. Usually there's charity involved. So there's that. There are much worse events Im forced to attend twice a year.
    • Does Justin Thomas have a massively underrated short game? It seems every time I look up he's hitting it close from a tough lie after short siding himself. What masterful touch
    • I freaking hate them. Too expensive, cheaters, food sucks, too dependent on weather, I keep telling myself never do it again but I'm a dummy
    • I enjoyed the A-B-C-D scramble we did at Kittyhawk before it shut down. Yes. The point was to meet the other members and get the season kicked off. Nobody took it too seriously. At least with that group, cheating wasn't a big issue.  As the D part of A-B-C-D, I enjoyed getting to play with one of the Association's top players. One year I played with the city champ. Man could he hit a ball.  It probably isn't something I'd want to do more than once a year, but it has its place.
