I just dumped my 3wood and 5wood to make room for another wedge. The gap between the driver and the 22* hybrid i'm thinking of replacing with a 4wood. Any recommendations based on your experiences?

Thank you in advance

I've been enjoying my G10.

It produces a nice result when used on tight driving par 4s. The ball rises nicely and comes down soft....about 225-235yds for me.

When hit off the deck it does okay as well.

The G10 isn't a deep faced stick, so take care when teeing up. I get best results when I simply duplicate a perfect lie by running the tee down to just level with the grass.

4woods are handy sticks.

I second the G10. I bought mine almost begrudgingly (I really wanted to love the Titleist - but for me the Ping was longer and straighter), and I couldn't be happier with how consistently well I hit the ball.

At the very least, it's worth a demo.

I like my Mizuno F-60. Very easy to hit. That doesnt do you much good if that club isnt available where you live though.

I had a Ping G10, that was a good wood with the Proforce V2 shaft.
Right now, as I do more or less the same distance with my 19º 3 hybrid as my 5 wood, and I use driver most of the tees at my home corse, I´m replacing my 3 & 5 woods by a Wishon 949 16.5º with a Precision Saber shaft.

I would highly recommend looking at the tour edge exotics XCG or XCGV 4 wood. They will go further than any 3 wood on the market because of thier fusion technology. The 4 wood will naturally launch higher than a 3 wood and the tour edge are very easy to get out of the rough.

Traded my Nike Sasquatch 3-wood for the same Nike 4-wood last year and really like it. I guess it's a Saquatch 2...probably a couple years old already for sure. Might not be what you are looking for but figured I'd throw it out there in case you are looking at used clubs (or maybe clearouts).
I was amazed how much better I hit a 4 compared to a 3. Sure the 3 went further when hit well, but I keep the 4 in play so much more.

Take a look at a 17 degree hybred. I had a cheap one and was impressed now waiting to try the Titelist 909h.

I have a new Cleveland Launcher 3 wood-absolutely superb club. But Id always recommend a hybrid instead of 4 or 5 woods, just so much easier to hit. Again, I have Cleveland-hi bores-I find they are truely brilliant clubs. Cleveland woods for me, Mizuno irons too. Cant see past those at the moment.

Just got the Exotics XCG 4-wood 16.5* off ebay for $122 - looks 9/10 and I have no qualms about gently used clubs. Should fill the gap between my Taylor TP Spoon 13* and Nickent 20* Ironwood.

    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
