speaking as one who shares this problem, i own two putters which have helped immensely: seemore mfgp and the sabretooth. for me, the seemore is better on the shorties (8 feet and in), the sabretooth is more forgiving on the lags.

i putted with the anser 2 for 30 yrs. last season i bought both of my recommendations and they've made a big difference in my putting "prowess".

good luck.

Another good suggestion is to draw a line on your ball, like the one the pro v's have, and line it up with the hole. Then place your putter down on that line. This takes a lot of the guess work out. It takes a bit to get used to but after a few rounds and some practice it works great.

Ive just started with the line method for improving my aim. Im also taking a lot more time and being much more methodical. Although I havent tried in a round yet, practice has been very very positive. I can see this improving me significantly for all length of putts. In fact I don't know why the hell I havent done this all along.

hah, i was going to buy a seemore putter just because i love zach johnson, and ended pup trying one...i sucked with it. It seems as if the face is almost closed, i couldn't get used to it...but thats just me.

i just bought one on Ebay from 3BallsGolf for $66 plus shipping after i demo'd one and fell in love with it. i got the FGP Stealth Black. i HIGHLY recommend this putter. check out their website too. LOTS of interesting stuff on it including a forum.

I had a go with one very briefly in a golf pro shop last weekend-didn't like it and don't like the look of them. I think putter choice is the most personal golf selection, and it does help if you like the putter you choose. So seemore isn't a choice foe me. Im most interested in probably looking at an Odyssey Sabretooth or Rife 2 Bar-2 suggestions here.

For the moment Im going to persist with what I have and just work on my technique. Thats the real problem anyway.

A center shafted putter worked for me. My putting was pretty bad, so I kept getting a bigger and bigger mallet thinking it would be more forgiving. But I got a center shafted blade now and it feels so much more natural.
