Anyone build an indoor putting green?

Has anyone ever done this before? Am I crazy? Was it easy or hard?

I thought I might give it a shot, it's not like I can golf in 20 degree weather with 6-8 inches of snow tonight

Not crazy... If you have time to build one, it's definitely worth it. As you can see from the article above, it's definitely very affordable.

it depends on how elaborate you want it...
i have a simple one in my den... just some astroturf and a cheapy walmart putting cup...
i want to get ultra elaborate and actually either go full on putt putt style in my back yard... or grow an actual 'green' mound with authentic cup and flagstick...
but when thinking cost wise... the putt putt route is actually much less expensive
