I'm on the prowl for some new irons. I'm not exactly sure where to start or what exactly to look for but a couple of my friends suggested some Mizuno irons, and the ones I've been kinda liking are the Titleist 755's.

Well I haven't quite decided if I want to get another set of blades yet, or if i want to get a blended set with some blades, or if i want to go to the little easier to hit irons but are still forged, like the MP-62, MP-60, or like the Titleist 755's.

I would consider my a self a reasonable ball striker, but I think my blades are taking away from my game. I'm playing for my high school team and I need to decide quick.

Thanks, Shane

I'm not going to sit here and tell you their the best like most people will. I believe everything is personal opinion but do yourself a favor while shopping for clubs and hit the Nike VR Splitbacks. They are forged, are very workable and surprisingly very forgiving. While your at it hit the VR blades too. I just felt no need to go with the blades since the Splitbacks felt just as good with some added forgiveness however I was very close to going with 3-6 in the Splitbacks and 7-PW in the blades. Also give the Mizuno MP 52's or 57's and Titleist AP-2's. All of them are workable and feel good with some added forgiveness. I went back and forth between all of these clubs for 2 months but settled on the Nike VR's. In my opinion they felt the best and they were defiantly the most workable.

    • Ah.. my regular weekend league. Lol Scrambles are fine. Usually there's charity involved. So there's that. There are much worse events Im forced to attend twice a year.
    • Does Justin Thomas have a massively underrated short game? It seems every time I look up he's hitting it close from a tough lie after short siding himself. What masterful touch
    • I freaking hate them. Too expensive, cheaters, food sucks, too dependent on weather, I keep telling myself never do it again but I'm a dummy
    • I enjoyed the A-B-C-D scramble we did at Kittyhawk before it shut down. Yes. The point was to meet the other members and get the season kicked off. Nobody took it too seriously. At least with that group, cheating wasn't a big issue.  As the D part of A-B-C-D, I enjoyed getting to play with one of the Association's top players. One year I played with the city champ. Man could he hit a ball.  It probably isn't something I'd want to do more than once a year, but it has its place.
