It's official... my clone sasquatch is now retired. I recieved my FT-i LCG from FedEx today and it is magical. It was both straighter and longer than my old driver. The range I went to is all a little uphill, then the 250 sign sits on a 10-15 ft high mound at the end of the range before the trees start. I was hitting into a little wind and my first drive hit the 250 sign (not joking )... it was really cool. Anyway... for the most part the FT-i landed just over the mound or made the trees on the fly while my old driver would land just short of or into the bottom of the mound. Both clubs are pretty straight for me, but the FT-i was a little better on my occaisional heavy draw (hook). I can work the ball, but there is definately a preference for a straight shot. The club is loud as hell, but it doesn't really bother me. Lastly, the club just feels better than my old driver... needless to say I am very happy and can't wait to play a round ASAP.

Now I just need to get my 3-wood and I'll be all set on clubs for at least a few years (maybe?)

My Clubs: Callaway FT-i Tour LCG 9.5° w/ Matrix Ozik Xcon 6 stiff; Sonartec GS Tour 14° w/ Graphite Design Red Ice 70 stiff; Adams Idea Pro 2h(18°) & 3h(20°) w/ Aldila VS Proto 80 stiff; Adams Idea Pro Forged 4-PW w/ TT Black Gold stiff; Cleveland CG12 DSG RTG 52°-10° & 58°-10°; Odyssey...

well... I got my 3-wood now (sort of), it's in the mail (see sig). Hopefully I will like it as much as my driver.

Anyone play an FT-i or Sonartec GS Tour... if so let me know how you like them.

my brother plays an fti and is thinking about replacing it with the iq... he can murder balls with his fti... id claim distances but for some reason ppl think longballers bs... all i can say is he can hit a ball wayyyy farther than i can

hey your bag is beginning to look like mine, hehe (FT-i, Sonartec GS Tour). great woods!

I think that's as far as it will go though... I'm in love with my irons and hybrids, and have played Cleveland wedges for the better part of 10 years. Not to mention, I'm spending the rest of my money this year on actual golf.

those are clean (as in not cluttered with nonsense)... very nice

The one thing I hate about Cleveland Wedges is the way they stamp "Cleveland" on the sole. When will they learn... LESS is MORE. That's one of the things I like about my irons... very neat and uncluttered appearance... they even put the # out on the toe of the sole so it gets less dirt.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
