I am trying to decide between the Cleveland Hibore driver (8.5, xstiff) and the Ping G5 driver (9, xstiff), after hitting both they seem to have similar quality in terms of accuracy but i was unable to play with either of them so im not quite sure which may have been longer as they both seemed to really jump of the face. Just wondering if anybody had any opinions on the two.

I have the G5 and I like it. From what I have heard the Hibore is a little closed but I have not hit one myself. The G5 is a great club and with Ping you are always going to have the very best in customer support.

I play a Cleveland Launcher now and would choose the G5 in a heartbeat. I didn't like the hibore as much as my launcher. The G5 is about the best driver I've hit and it's next on my list after I buy a new lob wedge, but I want to hit the taylormade 460 first.

The sound, feel, distance, and look of the G5 was excellent.

I returned a Hibore and left the shop with the G5 ... and I'm not looking back! The Hibore (10.5 with NV 65 S) hit shots that flew like wedge shots but only went about as far as my 3-wood. The G5 (10.5 NV 65 S) also hits them high, but I can bring the trajectory down when I need to. It's longer -- I'm hitting it every bit as far as I did my SMT 455, but with a lot more carry and better accuracy. I don't know if others had my experience with the Hibore, but for me it was no contest ... G5 all the way.

Go g5, ping is such an easy driver to hit, but it dosen't go that far and it goes really high. Hibore, I don't like the look, but performance is great. Reminds me of Jack's Hammer. I like the g5.
