Stupid question about club fitting

I have a stupid question about being fit for clubs. I only have one place to get fit in my area and their clubs are really expensive. Can fittings only be done before buying clubs, or can it be done after the fact of buying them? Any info would be appreciated

The answer to both of your questions is "yes".

Generally club fitting is done prior to purchase so that you can purchase the proper fitted clubs, but clubs can be 'tweaked' after purchase but generally only a small amount. Most of the major OEM's only suggest that the lie be adjusted 1 or 2 degees, so if you have to go 3 degrees flat then you have an issue adjusting after the purchase.
