Wedge Grips

I was just reading an article that suggested if you need mid-size or large grips on your irons and woods, you might still want standard grips on your wedges for more accuracy from a short distance.

Those of you that have non-standard grips on your clubs, do you put the larger ones on your wedges also?? This would seem to make sense but now I'm wondering what to try.

Anyone have experience with this??

I think the general rule is - bigger grip = more control; smaller grip = better release.

I know if I put smaller than normal grips on my wedges, I would be gripping them too tightly, and for me, the results would be counterproductive.

Went to slightly larger (i.e. the right size for me) grips last year and liked the difference in all the irons.

I'm a big believer in putting the same grips on all my clubs except the putter. I think it helps in staying consistent.
