My mizuno is nice but if I wanted more bite would the voke or the cleveland be my best bet?

Or another brand??

Thanks.

Take a look at the CG14 as well. Both other options will provide more bite. Some people say Vokeys are a little more difficult to hit, but I have not found that to be the case. In the end of the day its all about what looks good to you when you look down at the club and how much confidence that gives you. Good luck.

I was rockin a cleve CG12 60* and then got a Vokey 588 and like the Vockey much better. I found it much easier to hit. As far as bite goes...the vockey wil eat a range ball to death. I spent a couple hours at the pitching range the other day and was cleaning the grooves everyother ball. The would fille up with white plastic that fast. I pretty much know if I break it out I'm retiring that ball.

In my bag are

Vokey Spin Milled Hands down. Vokeys just flight and work the ball better around the greens, and on approaches. Better to look at I think.

Both are great wedges.

I replaced my Vokey's with Cleveland CG12's and have been happy with the change. The Clevelands are a little more consistent for me, but the Vokey definitely felt softer. For me, consistent wins. But as always, YMMV.

Truthfully, it doesn't matter what kind of wedge you play, you'll get plenty of spin. I don't play those wedges and I still shear my covers off and I play noodles! What you gotta pay attention to is a sole grind that suits your swing the best. Yes, bigger grooves will help you get a cleaner strike, but you still gotta hit it the right way. Just gotta get onto the turf and try them. If you like Mizuno, hit the mizuno.

thanks everyone. The mizuno is great but it IS getting old! I love the black pearl look so I may go with the cg12 bpearl. Vokey black finish doesnt look great to me...

Next go around I may try the voke.
