I agree with most of the posts. I have played with many pro golfers, mostly Nationwide and Tight Lies tour, and a few that have played some on the PGA tour. THESE GUYS ARE GOOOOOD! I, like MiniMoe, consider myself a good golfer and can go under par on any course if I hit it good, but I can also put up a big number on any given day. Thats the difference. Most of the tour players dont post a 75 up, ever....not counting bad weather etc. They are so consistant. They hit it so straight and can get up and down from anywhere. If I played great for the first 2 rounds I could make the cut at most PGA tournaments. If I play mediocre for 1 of the first 2 rounds I would never make a singel cut. Thats not nearly good enough!!! You have to be able to hit it bad and still post even par or better.

My 2 cents!

I regularly play with, and get creamed by guys that get their asses handed to them on mini -tours.

It's a different game.

I play with the Pro at my course. He has played some Tour events like the St.Jude's in Memphis, etc...He is no where near top level. Playing with him is really eye opening. He doesn't do anything spectacular or hit these huge bombs or anything. He just hits it down the middle every time, hits it inside 10 feet and makes the putt. If he misses the green, he gets up and down like its no big deal. And the thing that amazes me is his tempo. It looks like he is barely swinging. Its nice to play with someone like that. I have no aspirations of being on tour....but if I can get down to a scratch to 5 handicap....I will consider my goals fulfilled!!
